Free entry · skill-based · no rewards currently awarded · 18+
The AlphaLens Arena is a FREE, skill-based paper-trading competition. Participants manage a virtual portfolio of simulated positions using real market prices. No real money is invested, traded or at risk at any time.
Rankings are determined 100% by portfolio return over the season — an objective measure of skill. There is no element of chance, no random drawing, and no house edge.
Entry is always free. No payment, subscription, deposit or purchase of any kind is required to join, play or win. Paid AlphaLens plans confer no advantage in the Arena.
Tier progression (Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond) is earned exclusively through performance and can never be bought.
The Arena is paused and no rewards of any kind are being awarded. Ranking is for recognition only.
Tier progression (Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond) reflects performance and is recorded on your profile; it is not a prize and carries no value.
If a reward scheme is introduced in future it will be published here in full, in advance, before any season it applies to.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and hold an AlphaLens account in good standing.
One entry per person per season. Multiple or automated accounts, score manipulation, or exploitation of pricing errors result in disqualification.
Employees or operators of AlphaLens may play but are not eligible for any future reward scheme.
Void where prohibited: if skill-based free competitions are restricted in your jurisdiction, you may not participate.
Seasons last approximately 28 days; start and end dates are shown on the Arena page. Each participant starts with the same virtual budget for their tier.
Portfolios are marked to market using real quotes on a regular schedule. Final rankings are computed at season close; the tier winner is promoted, last place in tiers above Silver is relegated.
In the event of a tie, the earlier joiner ranks higher. AlphaLens may void trades executed against demonstrably erroneous prices.
This competition is free to enter, decided purely by skill, and currently awards nothing at all. On that basis it is designed not to constitute gambling, betting, a lottery or a regulated prize promotion in the jurisdictions where AlphaLens expects most usage (United States, United Kingdom, European Union including Italy, Canada, Australia) — no consideration is required and no prize is awarded.
United States: structured as a skill contest with free entry and no cash prizes. United Kingdom: free-entry skill competitions with no money’s-worth prizes fall outside the Gambling Act 2005. European Union / Italy: with no purchase required and no economic-value prize, the format is designed to fall outside prize-promotion regimes such as Italy’s DPR 430/2001.
These notes are provided for transparency and are not legal advice. If AlphaLens ever introduces prizes with monetary value or paid entry, the format will be re-assessed with qualified counsel per jurisdiction first.
The Arena is an educational simulation: nothing in it is investment advice, and simulated performance does not predict real returns.
AlphaLens may suspend or cancel a season for technical failure or abuse; in that case no prizes are due. Decisions on rankings and disqualifications are final.
These rules complement the AlphaLens Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
